This is a tour that will introduce you to the home of mountain gorillas. Bwindi impenetrable national is a park that covers an area of 321 sq km and one of Uganda’s oldest forests lasting over 25,000 years. An amazing journey that will give you an opportunity to trek one of the 12 habituated mountain gorilla groups.
Besides this place is popular for the endangered mountain gorillas it has a lot to offer, you will also have an opportunity to see other primates such as the red-tailed monkeys, baboons, black and white colobus monkeys to mention but a few. The Park is home to species counting to 350 species of birds such as the hornbills and the Turacos! 310 butterflies, 200 trees, 51 reptiles, 88Moths and 120 mammals, 27 species of frogs, geckos, chameleons, 163 tree species, 104 fern species, 1000 flowering plants. The main highlight of the park thus gorilla tracking takes around 2 to 8 hours, which is worth it as those into hiking will have a great time climbing up and about the rolling hills, and going through the lush vegetation in search of the gorillas.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi
Impenetrable National Park Our driver-guide will pick you up from your lodge in Kampala, Uganda’s capital and brief you about the whole tour before you travel to Bwindi Impenetrable which is found in the southwestern part of Uganda. We will depart by road and head to the Southwestern part of Uganda, en route you will have a stopover at the Equator to take photos, also feel free to buy some crafts and souvenirs as you head to Mbarara town where you will have your lunch. Thereafter, you will proceed to
Bwindi Forest where you will arrive in the late afternoon and check-in at your booked hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking
Early in the morning after breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the park rangers about what to do and not do while in the park, also you will be divided into groups of 8 People per Group to begin your Tracking. Thereafter continue and start off gorilla tracking as directed by the rangers. We guarantee this is a memorable and amazing experience watching the Mountain gorillas feed, play around, and also do their day-to-day activities.
The time frame of the activity can be either 2 hours or even up to 8 hours since it’s dependent on the location and movement of the gorillas while on a guided walk. After your gorilla tracking, you will be transferred to the lodge for an afternoon to relax, and later in the evening, you will have a visit to the Batwa community which will expose you to their culture based on how they live, dance, and also hearing stories concerning their culture which will leave you amazed. Thereafter come to have dinner and overnight at your booked lodge.

Day 3: Transfer back to Bwindi to Kampala
Check-out from your lodge and hit the road back to Kampala passing through the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and finally drive back to Kampala to transfer to your lodge or Airport for your flight back home.
